A project still in the works. A complete home renovation that will be completed in phase. We’re one year in and about 18 months out from completion. The was a complete refresh. A builder grade home with the exact same hardware in every room and materials that offered no real personality, -certainly not a reflection of the client, and just left everything feeling flat. It just looked like every other home mass produced home from 2015. White walls, gray floors, black hardware, and black light fixtures.

Throughout the design process we spent significant time reflecting on how we wanted the home to feel. The client wanted the home to be a completely new space. To feel peaceful, and feminine, and draw from her East Indian heritage. This informed where we wanted to add the most character, and what personal touches we would include as well. We combed through endless wallpaper options, flooring, paint samples and textures, light fixtures, stone and more. In the end we’ve changed all the floors, carpet, paint, trim profiles, light fixtures, and SDI designed a custom built in cabinets and bookshelves for the fireplace that are truly one of kind! As we move ahead to furnishings and begin work on the kitchen and primary bath remodel, we hope you enjoy the few snapshots of this space and keep following along as we tackle phase two.
